Autism Support Louth&Meath in conjunction with Irish Autism Action have been successful in a grant application under the Benefit IIII heading from the Department of Communication to supply ipad training to 160 beginners and improvers.
We are currently developing the training manual and the first courses will start by the end of September. All classes have to be completed by December and if this is successful we may be eligible to run a similiar number of courses again in the Spring.
The course will consist of 8 hours of training ideally in 2 hour blocks but on occasion we can hold a one day course to cover the 8 hours. The training will be delivered in groups of ten and we have a number of trainers on board.
We are asking IAA member groups or individuals who wish to have a group lesson in their area to contact us. We will supply the trainer and training manuals. The group will hopefully be able to supply the venue eg their school or a community hall. If necessary we will be able to pay a nominal venue hire.
If you are interested either as a group or an individual in facilitating ipad training in your area please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are just interested in attending training in your area please also get in contact stating clearly where you are.
As many of our children are using ipads and tablets as part of their daily lives this is a great opportunity to avail of Free Training to help ensure you get the best from your ipad.
