Who should Attend?
This event is for anyone interested in the area of ASD, including those who have the diagnosis, family members, psychologists, education staff and those who work in health and care services.
Facilitator: Dr. Vermeulen is a lecturer/consultant at Autisme Centraal, Gent (Belgium). He is co-director of the Centre for Concrete Communication, a European training and education centre for ASD. He has worked for more than 25 years in the field of autism spectrum disorders. Dr. Vermeulen’s latest books include ‘Autism as Context Blindness’ and the second edition of ‘I am Special – A Workbook to Help Children, Teens and Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders to Understand Their Diagnosis, Gain Confidence and Thrive’. Dr. Vermeulen has speaking engagements across Europe, U.S., Canada and South Africa, and he is making a round trip to Ireland especially for this event.
