The Board of Management of Drogheda ABACAS School for Children with Autism are delighted to announce that we have recently moved to our new premises in Congress Avenue, Drogheda. This is a fantastic opportunity for the school to provide better facilities to the current pupils as well as providing future opportunities for the school such as expansion, preschool class and extracurricular activities. There are currently 30 students attending the school.
The pupils, staff and parents are very excited at this next phase in the development of Drogheda ABACAS School for Children with Autism.
Drogheda ABACAS Special School for Children with Autism was set up by a group of parents in 2003 to provide appropriate education for their children with autism through Applied Behaviour Analysis. ABACAS gained recognition as a Special School for Children with Autism from the Department of Education in 2010. Drogheda ABACAS School uses a variety of evidence based interventions including ABA. All children have a very comprehensive Individualised Education Plan which encompasses the National Curriculum as well as individual behavioural, communication and independence goals.
