Drogheda ABACAS Special School for Autistic Children with Complex Needs embraces inclusion and welcomes students of all backgrounds, nationalities, beliefs and genders. We strive to provide a safe, happy and neurodiverse friendly environment where every child is valued and treated with dignity and respect.
We are committed to hearing the voice of the child, recognising and respecting each student’s views, preferences and choices through their individual ways of communicating. We support every child to participate meaningfully in decisions that affect their school life.
We work collaboratively with parents and guardians, valuing their knowledge and experience in helping each child reach their full potential.
We recognise the individual strengths and needs of our students. Through evidence-based practice and ongoing staff development, we adapt our approach to support each child’s learning, wellbeing, personal development and independence.
