Launch of Toy Show Grant Funded Project Starfish Outcome Report
Autism Support Louth and Meath are delighted to publish the outcome report from our Toy Show funded initiative – Project Starfish.
This consisted of two elements, the Orange Club weekly youth club for autistic teenagers and also the Boost Programme.
At the core of Project Starfish is the Orange Youth Club, which provides a secure place for teenagers to meet weekly, participate in a
variety of activities, and establish connections. Our approach is to tailor experiences to individual preferences, allowing participants to
pick activities and events that match their interests. Project Starfish also provides life coaching sessions through the Boost Programme,
contributing to personal growth, increased confidence and supporting participants to address challenges.
We conducted a series of surveys to evaluate the Youth Club and Boost Programme's impact on the lives of the teenagers who participated
in them. This outcome report draws on the data collected from the surveys showcasing the impact of Project Starfish, highlighting the
feedback from participants, their families, and the youth club staff.
Thanks to additional parent fundraising we are continuing with the work of Project Starfish
