It is great to hear that DKIT is accepting applications for the September 2024 intake onto the Certificate in Skills for Independent Living through the link below:

 

Certificate in Skills for Independent Living / Nursing, Midwifery and Early Years / School of Health & Science / DkIT - Dundalk Institute of Technology

 

 

This 2 year part time programme is specifically developed for adults with intellectual disabilities.

This programme is supported by the HEA Path 4 Funding and is free to eligible candidates.  Ie if you are accepted onto the course there are no fees.

This is an excellent course and good to note that for example a person can attend the two days of this course and attend day services the other three days or could also be the possibility of being supported to attend by their day service or other support.

 

*to note* — you don’t have to be a current school leaver to attend – you might have left school a couple of years ago.
